Guest guest
OK....so now I must vent. I have been reading and reading, visiting and learning from you. Whats the catch? How is it that he can be " listed " at the EARLY stages of the disease, and is sitting here in the late stages of the disease with some mild cirrohosing now? Can his symptoms be that bad? Does he have bleeding varcies and portal hypertension, does he have extensive scaring of the bili tree and common ducts? Why would he be " listed " so early. Can you be that bad off in the early stages????? I missed something, didnt I? Sincerely, ( not joking around at the moment)

Guest guest
I read an article [about this] from the AP and he's not in early stages. He's on the list because he NEEDS a transplant. > , > I'm totally with you about LeDoux already being on the list. Maybe his publicist was sugar coating it by saying he's in the early stages. But if in fact he really is just in early stages, something is eskew(sp). I read about people everyday fighting to be on the list with their quality of life getting worse, and risk of cancer rising each day. Celebrities and folks with ample resources do have choices and flexibility. I think Klug is extraordinary, but I believe his doctor litterally handpicked his liver from a young very healthy person. The doctor knew in order for to sustain his athletic career it was necessary to handpick the donor. > It's not even 7:00 on Saturday morning, and now I'm all fired up. This is why my husband hates me reading these post when he's home. >

I mean, they may have been trying to get across the fact that he's not just ready to die any day... they probably weren't trying to be extremely medically accurate. If he was sick enough to call off a show, then it's at least symptomatic which is usually not the case at all in what we'd call really early stage disease! athan
