Guest guest
In all of the " disease states, " Stress avoidance is the most critical to better health, and recovery. Same with CFS. Eliminate " stress " completely! Like Alinta said earlier, people might need " therapy " to learn to " manage " stress and behaviors, or to change the way they respond to " negative stimuli. " One of the treatments with CFS, is " cognitive therapy, " which helps us change the way we " perceive " things. Or, using the " Serenity prayer " is effective in the way we " view " life's challenges. I know for a fact, after 19 years of severe health, I am doing so much better, just because I've learned " gratitude, " and instead of looking at how big my problems are, I look at how Great God is. I've had many bad times, too, but, now I am so thankful for " simple basic necessities, " having food, having computor, and internet service, thankful I have my own place to live. I'm not where I used to be, and not where I want to be, but I AM sure going to enjoy the journey right where I AM. Without faith and hope, you will be the " living dead. " You have to " find something to hold onto, " " something to believe in. " Or, have dreams and goals. Sometimes you have to change your dreams, but, dream bigger dreams. Don't " sabotage " yourselves. What satan means for " evil, " God means for " good. " We get to choose what we " want " to believe. We all have " free wills. " Life's not fair.......So, just DO the BEST you can, no matter what! We may not Deserve this, but in reality, bad things happen to good people. So, for me, I " choose to be the change I wish to see in the world. " Okay, my rant over. This wasn't meant for you, Alinta. My son would tell me (and, he had Cfs with me for 16 years) " mom, just think, it's a miracle that you can even get out of bed everyday! " Yes, it was! And, anything else I could do in the day, was a complete " joy, accomplishment, believed I was getting better, etc. It changes your whole " frame of mind. " You have to " fake it until you make it.
