Guest guest
Sorry you have such a terrible headache. I use to get them really bad. Not quite as much now. Except for prescription meds, Excedrin Migraine seems to work the best for me. I know your neck muscles probably are aching for the heating pad but an ice pack is the best to use as it opens up the blood vessels that are spasming because of the headache. After the ice you can use heat for the muscles. Please eat a little something before you take the meds so that you aren't so nauseous. Just a few crackers at least. Hope you feel better. > > So much for holiday's. They aren't worth it the day after. I'm in a migraine, cold sweat, body hurts from pounding head, pain behind my eyes neck muscle spasms, backs spasms, stiffness from tightening up with the pain that is unbearable. Which med do I choose. Already tried plain Alvil. Some relief no it's back. Want to sleep it off. Have a full arsenal of drugs. God just tell me which direciton to take. Have liderm patches on my neck/shoulder area and lower back. Some relief, but gone now. In bed, dog is snoring away. Please God have mercy on me. Could go to hospital for pain shot, but truthfully Demerol does nothing to help. All the other pain meds take the edge off and prolong pain in the end. I'll go get some ice packs in a minute.Nothing left in the kitchen to eat until I go grocery shop.Ride it out. No one should have to live this way. Naseau is sorta there. The neck is tight, so tight. Been giving myself pressure point massage on my head and temples. Will try using some peppermint oil. >
Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who had a remedy to share. My migraine is breaking and I’m coming back to life. It’s some king of flare up I get with total body involvement. It feels like a big truck is sitting on top of me. I need get back to remembering to take my vitamins and keep my body in optimal health to fight them off. It’s amazing how all the narcotics in the world don’t help but Advil does. It’s like anything, I take for awhile and it works and my body learns how to build a tolerance to it and then it doesn’t work again anymore? Ughh. Thanks to all who responded, I am grateful!!!! xo
Guest guest
Howdy, hope this message finds you feeling better, but I live the same life as you have just described. In no way should you torture yourself like this. headaches as bad as these are the one thing that would make me kill myself if i couldn't get treatment for them when needed. Go to the hospital, but make sure to call your PHP first, as I have mine to the point where he will call the idiots at the ER in advance so they won't treat me like a f****** drug seeker and just give me the damn shot(s) I need! For my headaches it takes 4 mg of Dilaudid every three hours until it breaks. No one wants to give Dilaudid to anyone, let alone someone who has heavy duty pain prescriptions as they feel you are addicted or seeking a cheap high off of them. I absolutely despise these ignorant mother ******* due to this and truly wish I could kill them when they pull this type of shit with anyone who is truly in need of relief. Best of luck, take it as easy as you can and ice yourself to death. Sorry for not checking in more often but I can't think about this stuff anymore without getting deeper into the damn hole my life has become. Kirk > ** > > > So much for holiday's. Guest guest
Oh I am so sorry and boy can I relate. I have found some icy hot in spray form that I really like. It will relax the muscles which helps a bit. Beings it is a spray you can hold it in any direction to get it on and it is not greasy like the stuff in the tube. I use it for my back and neck. Never thought at 47 I would smell like a senior citizen. Oh well what ever works right!! Just a thought to try to help Val ________________________________ From: Stillsdisease [mailto:Stillsdisease ] On Behalf Of ginabomp Sent: Monday, December 26, 2011 5:32 PM To: Stillsdisease Subject: Help in a Migraine and can't get out!
