Guest guest
Before any pain/fatigue symptoms of FM (which was 3 yrs. B4 DX), I awoke one night knowing something wrong. The second trip up in less than 20 min. I slammed into the wall. After ambulance and ER, CAT scan, drugs and 2 nights in hosp., PT for brain, OT to learn how to keep eyes open and walk, climb stairs it took 3 months for my balance to return. I never had any pain however. A few months later – another struck, less severe, could take the car ride in holding a bowl – this time MRI and drugs and sent to the vestibular unit. Weeks passed, hearing tested for Minearâs, tested to induce it again (water in the ears, spinning, tables turned upside down, etc.) they couldnt find a vestibular issue. Then to the specialist - and he spotted it right away (light and sound issues, imbalance, and retelling of info around each event....) Migraine with Vertigo. I had never heard of it. FM has headaches and migraines in the symptom list. It can also be triggered by hormonal changes for women each month. I have gotten bits of it now and then but workable (just wouldnt drive). I too had all the symptoms you mention EXCEPT the intense pain. Odd. I now keep only one of the meds updated and on hand and thats for the nausea. I wish every wish that can help you find the source and a way to regulate or prevent it. I cant imagine the intensive pain you are feeling.
