Guest guest
Trouble Boosting Thyroid Levels? Check for Celiac by Dr. Teitelbaum Unable to get your thyroid levels up despite treatment? If you have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, this suggests the possibility of a genetic wheat allergy called celiac disease — which is present in about 2-4% of those with CFS and fibromyalgia. Here's how I'm now responding to this problem. I am now testing for celiac as part of my panel for new patients — because treating this condition, if it's present, can markedly improve CFS/FMS symptoms, too. There are two tests: 1) anti-transglutaminase IgG, and 2) anti-transglutaminase IgA. These can be done at any lab, and give a straightforward " yes " or " no " answer to whether or not you have celiac.
