Guest guest
Really doesn’t it just go that way? I used to take the time to write down my questions, then the doctor would see me coming with my list and hide. lol They do get put off a bit if you have a list though. Hopefully your spleen is not going to get affected, but best to find out as early as you can if so. A NP is very knowledgeable so if they feel anything may be wrong, you will probably get send in for a CAT scan or some tests hopefully and get to the bottom of it. I’ll bet you are still recovering from your trip eh? Take it easy and rest up. Sorry it’s painful also, that’s no fun. But that pain talks to us for a reason. Just wish it would not talk so loud sometimes. Doesn't it always seem to go that way? I just traveled hundreds of miles for my 3 month check up on Thursday and now again my left lower side is killing me the last two days intermittently. It happens rarely lately and I forget to mention it. I'm afraid it may be my spleen enlarging but not sure. I have an appointment with nurse practioner tomorrow so will have to remember to ask her to check. Just in pain but been in bed since Friday night so must move today. Guest guest
Thank you for your reply . At my onset the doctor was able to tell my spleen was enlarged by me laying on my side a feeling it. I don't know if they test it further because I was hospitalized and had so many other tests at that time. Enlargement of the spleen is one of the symptoms of Still's. I am up after too many days in bed and getting the house warm, tea and going to put on the stew I've been planning for days, lol. Sometimes it's good to be down for a while and nurture but too much just intensifies my pain and then it's time to move up and around, take some pain meds and join the world. It does help. -- Pain in left side Why is it when you go to the doctor your symptoms are quiet and then days later you have problems? Doesn't it always seem to go that way? Guest guest
I’ve been dreaming of stew . So warm and nurturing and good! I will go get the ingredients soon and make some. I don’t make it often so I do not know if I use broth, and also do not know how to thicken it. I like Martha so I’ll look up one of her recipes. I guess moving around has been more helpful to me than I ever thought. I joined a group which encourages it. I have to be my own encourager too and they are my cheerleaders lol. Do you think the conference will go off in Sept.? Thanks for all you do . I’m so sorry for the loss of our dear group member and friend and how it affected you and others. My heart goes out. It gives us all a chance to come into direct, face to face with our own mortality. For me, it has allowed me to push harder than I ever have this week. So I’m probably giving you a dose of my medicine with the advise to nurture yourself. I need to take a day off for me. Besides I got an Asthma attack about 3 days ago, and I have congestion in my lungs that I do not want to turn into more. Can’t wait to hear how your stew came out. Yummy. And leftovers are great too! Thank you and I feel much better today. Smiles and hugs to all, Subject: Re: Pain in left side ..what did your Nurse practitioner say? Are you ok? Please let us know.....love ya as always!
