Ferritin, iron saturation and total binding capacity (I hope I have

remembered these names correctly) are the tests that will give an idea of

your iron stores. You may have enough iron in your body, but due to the

disease it is not being used right now. Low scores in these tests would

indicate the need for iron supplements. Apparently, you need all three done

to give an accurate picture. A shortage of B12 causes pernicious anemia.

OK, so how do you get the disease under control? If taking iron pills wont
