Hello all my new Still's buddies! Hope this finds you doing ok. I am very

concerned about my 29 yo daughter, Melani. She has fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue

Immune Disfunction, and Still's. Her jaw has been hurting very badly lately.

With her jaw, also her neck, and ear. She also has a tooth hurting that keeps

breaking off b/c she grinds in her sleep and this has happened before. I looked

up these areas hurting all together at the same time and I guess the jaw is a

joint. With Still's joint's are affected right? It also said something

disturbing and that was that it could be from problems with the heart. Weird

that those areas would be affected from a heart problem. She is on a beta

blocker for arrythmias. I'm scared, and as a Mom there isn't a whole lot more I

can do than I already am. She barely can speak it hurts so much. She is not well

enough right now to be in a support group she says or anything like that except

to barely make it to doc appts. currently. She just had a big move into a new

condo when her Section 8 finally came through after being on the waiting list

for 8 years. So she moved back to the San Diego area where I am close now, but

still feel as helpless as if she lived 8 hours away still. Please keep her in

yout thoughts for relief from this pain. Come Monday I told her we would

agreesively seek medical attention for what ever we can, dentist, doc, rheumy???

Thanks for letting me sound off. Good night, everyone. xo

Hello,

Not that I am a dr so you can take my advise or leave it. I think

this may be her fibormyalgia. That affects her muscles and can cause TMJ

Mine was so bad one time I had physical therapy for the muscles. It

helped a lot. Just a thought.

Val

Hi Val,

You know she can be so stubborn about it being the fibro because she has the

Still’s, but you hit the nail on the head. I think it could be also. She has a

long awaited appt. with her Rhem tomorrow. I wish she would let me go with her.

Perhaps she will. I have other questions about the Kineret she takes for

Still’s and if it it truly helping since she feels so bad still, yet if she

misses a dose she says she feels worse. They are our children no matter what age

they get to be lol. Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well.

Peace and Love,
