Guest guest
, Mine was so many years ago and I didn't even know what tests were done or what they were called at that time. I was just lucky enough to have good doctors. I am pretty sure mine was negative though because I was told it was classic AOSD when diagnosed. Hope this helps, -- ANA Test Hello Group, I'm just doing an inquiry about your experience with the results to the Anti-neuclear Antibody Test.. I'm just doing a survey on it. A lot of literature says the ANA test is usually negative with Still's.

Guest guest
Thanks , It was nice to hear from you. How are you doing? I guess I’m still post holiday fatigue. I want to get up and bring my daughter a mouth guard. The pain doctor referred her to Big 5 Sporting Goods for a mouth protector and I called them. Sure enough they have a soft gel made for boys 11 and up. So should fit a 29 yo female just fine. She isn’t sure what the cause, if it’s grinding at night, or something else, but the pain in her jaw is excruciating! It may be connected to her neck pain too. We don’t know until we go to the DDS and doctors, but for now trying to treat the symptoms as usual. I am helping her as much as possible since she lives alone now. I can sure relate to that. There is not another person to bounce things off of if you have a change in symptoms etc. Any news about a possible Still’s convention this year? I was thinking it was possibly going to be Labor Day weekend. Won’t that be too busy a time in Vegas? They raise the plane fares too and rates for everything for holiday’s. Hopefully there will be one either way, place or what ever. I will certainly have more energy than last trip. I look back at pictures and I was really bad off. My steroid puffiness was extreme and moon face. I could not walk barely from the room down to the casino area without being extremely out of breath. I have much improved if I look back. I should be grateful with the small amount of progress. Some is much better than none. Today I will send you thoughts of energy and endurance. I need the same. Hang in there girl. Guest guest
My ANA has always been negative. Also, most other indicators of " general inflammation " like C-reactive protein (CRP) are always negative, and the rheumatoid factor (RF)test is always negative. For me, the only blood test that seems correlated with my flares is the test for Ferritin levels. Cannon JCannon@... Guest guest
Hi , I wanted to respond to your post. You said your daughter Melani has fibromyalgia. A positive ANA is one way to doctors verify fibromyalgia, but it is not always the case. A positive ANA can also be other things. I have fibromyalgia and have a positive ANA, I also have lupus and those antibody tests were negative. My rheumy saw me for a year and watched symptoms to verify my lupus. My last blood workup I was positive for S'Jogrens but 6 months before I was negative. As far as the jaw fofor Melani, my doctor has TMJ. She grinds her teeth and her jaw hurts and pops out when she opens her mouth wide. You just never know these days with any tests cause so many people that should have positive tests CAN have negative tests but still have the disease or disorder. Hopefully they will figure it out. I wish you and her well and a very happy and hopeful New Year. Deb > > Hello Group, > I'm just doing an inquiry about your experience with the results to the Anti-neuclear Antibody Test. I think that is the one called ANA. Please correct me if I am wrong. Some people with Still's get a negative test, and some people get mixed results. I'm just doing a survey on it. A lot of literature says the ANA test is usually negative with Still's. Hope you are all feeling on the well side of life and if not nurturing yourself and getting better. Best wishes of healing and peace, >
Guest guest
I was checking it out on line the other day and for Stills it says our ANA is negative. It kind of seems like this disease breaks a lot of the rules. No wonder I have this. That is my life story ha ha Val ________________________________ From: Stillsdisease [mailto:Stillsdisease ] On Behalf Of Cannon Sent: Sunday, January 08, 2012 8:33 AM To: Stillsdisease Subject: Re: ANA Test My ANA has always been negative.
