I'm sure Elaine would like to hear from you all :)

Hi

My name is Elaine and I have been on minocycline for 15 months. I have

greatly improved as I could hardly lift my legs to walk. My whole body

ached. Just after 2 days on the antibiotic I could feel the pain begin to

leave my legs, the terrible fatigue begin to leave, and it was a miracle.

My disease was " text book " perfect as described in The Road Back by Dr.

McPherson Brown. I have had many ups and downs since my diagnosis, but

mostly ups. I know that I am not free of the disease yet as I still

experience aching in my hip when I lay down, so I experience some fatigue

from lack of sleep. My doctor has me on other suppliments which I know has

helped with the pain in my hands. I am trusting that eventually with

continued treatment, the aching will disappear in my hip also.

I have to tell you that it was a fluke that I came across the doctor who I

now go to. I decided I was going to change doctors because even though I

complained to my previous Doctor about some of my symptoms, he would say

" you probably need to do exercises " and I felt he wasn't listening. I

picked a doctor from the phone book, then called my health provider to see

if he was on their list of physicians. He was, so I made an appointment.

After just talking to me about my symptoms he suspected RA, ordered the

mycoplasma testing, which was positive. My inflamation rate was very high.

He began the antibiotic treatment and you know the rest. I am just so

sorry that this treatment is not recognized by many other physicians. My

doctor is just a D.O. I have friends who go to rheumatoligists and get

little or no relief from the pain. I have told them about my experience

but for some reason they continue to stay on the hard harmful drugs.

Well, thanks for listening. I just hope this therapy someday will be

recognized as the answer by all for a terriable disease.

Elaine
