Guest guest
That's an idea Toni. I don't know one judge or another here to ask about but I can see if I can find an attorney who might have an idea how things go here. Thank you. Re: Adrenal Fatigue, etc.( to Lynn, from ) You are correct, . SSA is Federal but judges are local to where you are. If you are concerned how a local judge might rule on your case, ask a local lawyer. toni cf-alliance.tripod.com/ from iPodTouch On Aug 10, 2012, at 3:55 AM, wrote: > I know the SSA is federal, not state-by-state but I'm still concerned that the judge or even an attorney would be a lot different than I experienced back in NY. Guest guest
, Interesting that you find FL the same as I do---I am thinking of moving to the Sarasota/Tampa area, as well once my house sells. Boy--I never thought about the question that you asked---THAT IS A SCARY THOUGHT! I am subject to review--I think every 3 years--and so far...have only been contacted by mail and asked if I am still disabled. I check " yes " and that has been the end of it. I am now 61---been on disability for 10 years----SO, I am thinking that I am so close to my social security age anyhow--that they won't do a review on me....too much wasted money on appeals/etc. I DO know that IF they were to do a review--and IF they said that I could go back to work---that I would continue collecting benefits while I appealed their decision. MUCH better than the other way around...... URGH--a review hearing in FL??? Makes me think that once my house is sold I should move back to OH! ) Lynn ________________________________ Subject: RE: Adrenal Fatigue, etc.( to Lynn, from ) Lynn, I just wanted to say that I came down here to Florida too, after several disasters in my family in my original home-state (including our house burning down) I have found it to be just like you said btw too. :-) If we'd had time to plan, we would have gone to South Florida, as I believe it's more comfortable for someone like me in political, social and other matters. My husband had lived in Ft Myers as a kind and I'd been there to visit. And that's where we probably will still move to.. Though not Ft Myers, probably Tampa if we stay in Florida. My husband is fine with it...but for me, it's way too hot and humid and I'm miserable.
