Guest guest
No. Not all. If you look at the score key, any score over 20 means you have normal to high levels of empathy. Scores 20 and under indicate that you may have Asbergers. Although, I wouldn't consider this test a diagnosis tool. > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > > > > > > I was just curious if any other group members have taken the EQ test at the following web site? > > > > > > > > http://glennrowe.net/BaronCohen/EmpathyQuotient/EmpathyQuotient.aspx > > > > > > > > I just took the test with a score of 17! Guest guest
Actually the test indicates that 0-32 is considered low empathy with most Aspies scoring around 20.Sent from my iPad No. Not all. Guest guest
I have done it several times (just to make sure!) and keep getting scores around 9-12. Yes, I am diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, so those scores are no surprise to me. If you want to check out your self-diagnosis of Asperger's, try the AQ Test as well, if you haven't done so already: http://aq.server8.org/ Score of 32 or higher indicates significant Asperger qualities, to a similar degree to a person diagnosed with the condition. > > Hi All, > > I was just curious if any other group members have taken the EQ test at the following web site? > > http://glennrowe.net/BaronCohen/EmpathyQuotient/EmpathyQuotient.aspx > > I just took the test with a score of 17! Guest guest
I might just do that! I've always kind of wondered if I am, not that a diagnosis will help... Guest guest
I would think that a diagnosis would be helpful as they have resources that can help deal with things and then you'd be more likely to see what's going on in that world and pay attention as things change over time and you'd be aware. I always think knowing is better for just about everything. :)Good luckHeidiSent from my iPhone I might just do that! I've always kind of wondered if I am, not that a diagnosis will help... Guest guest
I am certainly glad that I got a diagnosis. And it helps not only with understanding my past, but also I keep discovering things in the present ( " So THAT'S why I feel like that ... " ). I am in the early stages of CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) for 4S, having completed a diagnostic assessment for Asperger's syndrome. My psychologist has a fair degree of experience with people with sensory sensitivity, because 70-85% of people with Asperger's have some kind of sensory sensitivity, usually including sound sensitivity (hyperacusis, or less frequently 4S). He was telling me this week about a client with ADHD and " proprioceptive sensitivity " (sensitivity problems with the placement and movements of the limbs, etc). The client couldn't sit still in the office, so they went for a walk and ended up in the only place that the client felt comfortable: psychologist and client both hanging upside down from a tree branch in the nearby park! So I reckon he does understand unusual sensory problems - and he also specialises in Asperger's syndrome. > >> >> > > > > >> >> > > > Hi All, > >> >> > > > > >> >> > > > I was just curious if any other group members have taken the EQ > >> >> test at the following web site? > >> >> > > > > >> >> > > > http://glennrowe.net/BaronCohen/EmpathyQuotient/EmpathyQuotient.aspx > >> >> > > > > >> >> > > > I just took the test with a score of 17!
