Guest guest
Hey ! I'm Jo. I've been a member here since 2007 when I finally got diagnosed after close to 10 years of not knowing which auto-immune disease I had. Those were the hardest times to me! I lost my mom when I was only 24. I had just had my first child, my daughter, she's now 23! I am going crazy trying to help her. She complains to much about fatigue and she gets temps quite a bit. The gang here might remember we were treating her for lymes in 2010, (we live in NJ, the tick capital of the NE!) But she never got any better. She can work full time, and pushes to do a Saturday job as well because she lives with a roommate now and they share expenses. But the Infectious Disease dr. says he thinks the rheumy made a mistake and that she never had lymes. He also ruled out Chronic Fatigue Syndrome saying that if she can work that much then her fatigue must not be at the level for a diagnosis. I'm not sure I agree with that.... however, if my mom were alive, we'd have a lot more information to go on! I really have no family history from eithe rmy mom or my dad's side. Dad died when I was 7 and we had no contact with his family, who lived in Michigan. So did mom's family, for some reason they both had very strained relationships with their families, something about my mom not being Catholic or something, and not raising us kids Catholic, well, All I know is they both died of heart attacks. Not much else! But mom was always tired, and napped every day. I always thought it was depression since dad had passed and he was the love of her life.... but somehow I still wonder if there would be any piece of info to give us a direction with my daughter. None of the auto-immune stuff shows anything, all blood panels are negative so far. So now she is going to have a sleep study! I pray it's that easy!!! Best of luck to you ! hugs, Jo In a message dated 2/19/2012 4:18:58 P.M.
