This is April from Illinois. I haven't posted in over a year so here it goes.

Anyone in the St. Louis area should go to see DR. Barry Feinberg. He wrote a

detailed diagnosis and picked up on things that I never even complained to him

about. He is a pain management specialist. I had applied for disability

several times with no luck but his detailed information helped me so much. I

was approved as of today. It has been a long road but hang in there.

I read your posts all of the time but seems like I am complaining or dwelling if

I post. Once in a while we do need to vent and now that I don't feel crazy

maybe my post will increase.

No one understands Still's. The judge even thought I was making up the fevers

as my doc never gets to see it. To sick to go when I have one and then it goes

away as soon as I walk in the door if I do have one. This thing is just insane.

But, I was approved. Always be honest with your docs and repeat yourself if you

have to.

Wanted to let all of you know that I started on a Butrans pain patch and boy has

it helped. I feel a little foggy but my energy is up and I am able to do things

I haven't done in years. I often pay for them later but at least I do get to

attempt them now. Painting, drawing, sewing are just a few. I don't do much at

a time but it sure is nice to stick my finger, get paint on my elbows and even

feel like washing it off. Cool. One day at a time and vent when you need too.

What doesn't kill us will make us stronger. 30 years! A very long time but I

never stopped trying to do better each day nor will I ever. They can't take

away our birthday but a little help and understanding would make each day

approching to our next birthday would be a little brighter if there was a little

compassion and understanding. This is an awsome groop and we are all fortunate

to have each other as at times that seems to be all we have on this crazy earth.

Not alway true but sure seems like it when you just want to crawl in a hole most

of the time. Just don't forget that you have to get a little dirty to get

yourself clean again and it will a work out. Patients isn't a virtue with

Still's, it's a neccessity.

God Bless you all.

Glad you got approved! Sorry the judge thought you were lying. Those fevers can

be crazy. I am also glad your pain is under control some. It is nice to be able

to do something you love to do, even if it is just a little bit. I walked around

the front of my house and looked at the flowers earlier. I couldn't do that

earlier. It made me so happy to be able to do that today.
