Guest guest
Hi , I'm way behind in posting as usual, but wanted to offer one possible option to our group. Mail volume isn't likely to taper off when we have so many new people joining all the time. The bipolar support group I belong to started out the same way we did here. As the group grew, we divided off into two groups. Because there are so many parents in need of support for their bipolar children, we now have SIXTEEN groups. Each time we have to add a new group, we ask for roots volunteers to step over to the new group, at least for awhile, to get the newbies involved, informed and feeling at home. I've been on bp1, bp2, bp4 and now bp5. I've made many wonderful friends and although there are people on the previous groups that I was with that I miss, those most important to me, I've kept in touch with off list anyway. So maybe it's time for our PSC group to start a second one. You wouldn't have to change any rules or set new guidelines different from this group. Maybe when each group reaches one hundred members that would be a good time to split off. The moderators keep in touch with each other. Those members who choose to temporarily go to a new group have the option of coming " home " once the new group gets their feet on the ground. Food for thought. ----- Original Message ----- > On the other hand, I understand the problem with the volume of mail on > the group.
