Guest guest
This is in contradiction to what Mythbusters came up with. On MythBusters, they used an identical stimulus for each participant (which seems like a more scientific method than studying charts). They found that women handle pain better than men and red heads handle pain better than non-redheads (in contradiction to both myths). It was a good episode. It aired on April 28, 2010 and is titled 'No Pain, No Gain'. Maybe, the women are just experiencing more painful stimuli in the charts reviewed. Guest guest
Thanks ! I was unaware of that particular Mythbuster's challenge, but I do know that studies have indicated that while women express their feelings more readily, including crying or talking about their pain, women can actually endure pain more so than men can, as a rule, *although there are exceptions to every rule*. According to these studies on mens and women's pain tolerance, women may be able to tolerate pain somewhat more because of hormones and endorphins connected to potential childbirth, but I don't know if that's been proven. I never heard nor read anything about pain tolerance and redheads. :-) Re: Women report feeling pain more intensely than men This is in contradiction to what Mythbusters came up with.
