Guest guest
Hi everybody...I'm new to the group and was diagnosed with " probable " Stills disease 5 years ago...I still have doubt sometimes if this is really what it is..but my symptoms seem to fit pretty snug into the Stills category so I go with it...one of my concerns with this is my Grandmother has had similar symptoms as mine...joint ache and pain, elevated white count with low red count, good days and bad days, her hematoligist diagnosed her with " a non-life threatening " form of leukemia and lukocytosis... and now my oldest daughter is having some issues like mine, high white counts, enlarged spleen, elevated liver enzymes, joint ache and pain...I have not read anywhere if Stills is believed to " run " in families...but it seems incredibly odd that 3 of the 4 generations present with very similar symptoms~! I am so happy to be in this group...where people understand what is going on...I get so frustrated when I try to explain my condition and as soon as they hear the word " Arthritis " come out of my mouth...I get a response of " ohh yeah, I have arthritis too " ...I have many more questions and looking forward to talking some more~!!! THANKS~!! Angie
