Guest guest
Hi Sally, I wanted to write to let you know your post didn’t go unread or ignored. I can’t say why Loren hasn’t found a job but even with a different gait, I would like to believe that hasn’t been the reason for the delay. Like you say, the times are more than lean these years and maybe it is just that. In the early years of my onset I had a college course when the American with Disabilities Act was being put in place and I was appalled at how other students really felt about what they said was special treatment for those with disabilities in the work place. Many didn’t think the government should make special ramps, bathrooms, parking, etc. What was being shared with me at that time was that society shouldn’t have to pay extra for someone to have special treatment, as they saw it. Sometimes I think little has changed and other times I see such progress and am so grateful for what has been given me throughout my years with Still’s. I will keep good thoughts that Loren’s personality will shine with confidence and he will find the job that is just right. Good wishes for your days with smiles, From: Sally Yarbrough Sent: Saturday, June 09, 2012 11:35 AM To: Stillsdisease Subject: life in general Good Morning, Loren my son (31) is having a hard time finding work, we believe it is because of his disability. of that help much as he has been looking for over 2 years.
