As most of you know, I've been in a flare, and haven't been able to get there.

BUT, last night I logged on, and there was a space for my log-in name ( I should

mention that it was 7 when I logged on) it seemed to work for me..HOWEVER I want

you all to know that A. Bob has been unwell and B. it may seem to y'all that no

one is addressing the chat problem. WRONG, Bob has been trying to get this

danged thing organized for all of us. He would like nothing better than to get

us out of his hair ( what little he has left) LOL

The next thing, is, working on the site as well as the chatroom takes time, and

we don't have experts tapping away. We have 2 people who have generously given

of their time, and sanity to keep the site from turning into turnip mush.

Building and keeping the site is something I would like to be able to help with,

but, I have a Mac.

So, in closing everybuddy please be patient with us. Our Volunteers do amazing

jobs (s) plural and being critical isn't helpful. It's not easy building a web

site from scratch.

Smiles and Regards

Cat

Subject: Trouble accessing Chat website

HI Bob:

When I login the upper left color goes from orange to green which I believe is

good.

Then I type 123 or test...hit submit and instead of what I type showing in Chat

text I get the following shown on the chat log:

20:33:24) Server: Error: Connection timeout. Please try again.

(20:34:01) Server: Error: Connection timeout. Please try again.

This has happened each time I try.  I have a relatively new PC - HP Windows 7.

in Philadelphia

Dear Cat,

Hope you are feeling ok.I realize you have been in a flare and not feeling

well.  For that I'm very sorry.  At the end of your e-mail below, you mention

that being critical isn't helpful. If you are referencing the e-mail in which

you are replying to here, I would ask that you read again and try to look at it

in a different light than being anyhwere near CRITICAL It is not something we

see as not being addressed. Bob and have been very good at giving regular

updates regarding the chat not working and no one has a reason to believe that

it is not being worked on.

I can assure you that has been on line at the chat every week that I am

aware of, since I also have been there often and never not seen her there. Her

intentions in her e-mail to Bob below are I'm sure meant to alert Bob of her

interaction so that her input can be of help to Bob in getting the quirks worked

out with the chat.  We have had nothing, but appreciation for Bob and his

efforts and too for all they have and continue to do to try and get it

working correctly. has been very involved in pointing out her

observations as have I in an effort to aid in being helpful.

Those of us who go to chat have also expressed our appreciation mostly by

continually showing up on the arranged time to be there and show our support.

I even gave it one more chance beyond the week that I finally thougth I had come

to the end of how much tolerance I had by needing to refresh over and over.

Either the problem has been corrected now when you said you went onto chat

recently, but most likely I'm guessing that there was not an active enough

conversation to allow the scroll feature to do it's job.  You see, as more

sentences are posted, a person must manually press the refresh button in order

to read further down, or use the left hand arrow to bring the next post up onto

the screen. This is what has not been operating correctly lately.

Most of the few of us who are on the chat over and over being patient and

appreciative realize that it is being worked on by volunteers who we deeply

respect and admire more than you know.  We don't want any misconceptions that

may make you feel like you need to give us a lectture.  If anything else was

said other than this e-mail where our precious is describing a particular

problem to Bob in hopes that her feedback will help him I have not seen or

heard about it.  So may I suggest that what was said was taken wrong and not

the intention of anyone to sound like they were being critical.

Blessings,
