Guest guest Posted March 11, 2012 Report Share Posted March 11, 2012 Greetings Dragon Slayers~ I wanted to welcome the newbies to the family, say hi to my dear friends, and generally add my 2 cents worth in. LOL I'm in a flare, so, it's 'roids for this kid. I know they are the drug we love to hate, but I have to say that I feel so much better than I have been of late. I know it's just a band-aid therapy, and so bad for us in the long term. I hope that you all know how important it is to treat yourself well. Coping with a chronic disease, that brings with it chronic pain leads to depression, and we have to guard against that slippery slope. Make sure you have someone who LISTENS to you, someone who hears what you have to say. It's important to be able to express what you're going through. Too many of us are " stuffers " , and keep things inside where the damage can be done. With that in mind, we have our hot line at . Jakers is holding his own, still playing silly buggers rolling all over the carpet, bum wiggling, and oh the appetite is THERE! I try and take each day as a gift with him, with lots of tummy rubs, and ear scratches. He's a funny little guy who I will miss terribly. Everyone asks will I get another dog, and I just don't know. My old friends know what a struggle it has been to keep him with me. Living with room mates that I wouldn't have had as friends! Anyway, I'll just take it a day at a time.
