Guest guest
Hello Fran, The medications I have taken to help with AOSD are: - Remicade, Kineret, plaqunil, rituxan, enbrel, orencia, - Of course I am still on prednisone, I am on cymbalta (helps with depression and fibromyaglia, I am on neurotin which helps with migraines and it is suppose to help with fibro, and on methrotrexate as well. I am currently on the pain medication nucynta which has helped me sleep and with the pain. Honestly Fran I don't know how I function day in and day out. At times when I am surrounded by people I feel very much alone. No one around me understands what I feel or go through except this group of people. Well I hope all is going well with you. Please keep in touch Hugs and many blessings, man Corpus Christi, Tx
Guest guest
, your list of medications sounds like mine. I counted 32 prescription bottles, and i use them all every day. The prednisone caused heart problems so they had to put 2 stents in my heart last Thanksgiving.. and she's looking at another heart catheter to see if the sweating is related to my heart. I'm on lots of oxycontin, oxycodone, and muscle relaxants, along with kineret, heart meds, BP meds, etc, and gabapentin but i can't see that the gabapentin does much good. I don't notice when I've forgotten to take it. My heart was sore when I read your sentence about how you feel so alone and don't know how you even work. I've felt that way for years, and am so glad this group is here.. here people can relate and they know what it feels like when the first signs of a new or deepening flare emerge. That awful, 'uh-oh' and then the inevitable slide where everything aches and burns and still you have to go to work. I'm lucky to be able to sit every day and my clients talk about their lives so it takes me out of mine, which has been a blessing. I'm retiring this week, though, so I'll have mostly myself to listen to, and I really hope that's a good thing! Please keep writing, it helps. take care.. and blessings to everyone. *Holly * * * *Holly Dorst, PsyD, LPC, CTS* *. *
