Guest guest
I always use a 90 degree angle. I am naturally thin, but when I was very sick and 20 lbs thinner than I am now... we had to use a 45 degree angle. I still don't use my legs at all b/c there is not enough fat there for me, I tried and it was way too painful. And, I was also told that the subcutaneous fat layer is located between the fat layer and muscle layer. Which is why you need to pinch up the skin. To date, shots in the belly are more comfortable to me. I do have one area on the left side that, If I am not watchful, has a decent sized vein right under the skin. I don't always realize I have hit that spot until after pulling the needle out and I bleed. Gail (KY)
