Guest guest
Hi, Are any of you aware of a phenomenon whereby these therapies (enzymes SuperNuThera, probiotics, etc.) have an initial effecy of increased illness...like the improved function is " flushing " the immune system? I am asking because Spencer has had a total of about 6 weeks off this year from illness like ear infections, colds, respiratory infetions, etc....not to mention the killing off and detox done by the enzymes. He had a severe respiratory virus the last week in August and now has cold w/cough and I am sure a sore throat because he keeps putting his hands deep into his mouth. I am confident that teething is not involved. Summer is supposed to be the time of year when the immune system rebuilds from all the junk it was exposed to during the colder months; but this kid has had no breaks at all. I would have thought that all of the supplements I am giving would act to improve his ability to fight stuff off, but he is actually sicker more often and much worse than the other two kids, who are lucky if I remember to give them their multivitamns each day! Anyone else experiencing or ever experience this? Amber
Guest guest
Amber, we have not had these problems but I was wondering if you had tried kirkmanlabs.com Colostrum Gold.? It should help with these problems. Check out their site. Betty

Guest guest
well supernuthera and continous probiotics would make me ill. you realy have to look at the detail of what you are giving him and think about quantities, balance and complementaryness. it is not sufficent to take manufacturer's advice or products as is. too much zinc can supress the immune system. does he get out in the sun? various thoughts http://members.tripod.com/mueller_ranges/links/compendium.html with autism it is quite important not to defeat the bodies major line of defense against bugs, that is raising body temperature. asprin, panadol etc. lower the body temp and prolong the illness. the bodies symptoms are part of its natural defense response, in removing the discomfort and symptoms the natural defense response is being removed. > Hi, > > Are any of you aware of a phenomenon whereby these therapies (enzymes > SuperNuThera, probiotics, etc.) have an initial effecy of increased > illness...like the improved function is " flushing " the immune system? Guest guest
Betty, No I haven't; but you aren't the first one to recommend this product,so I think I will try it. With the cold weather and illness season approaching, it certainly can't hurt. Thanks... Amber
Guest guest
The same things you mention also happen when beginning the GFCF diet and with rounds of chelation - sort of a detoxifying effect. Colostrum or Tranfer Factor (like concentrated colostrum) are supposed to be helpful. Also, you mention something that has come up before and on other boards. Giving supplements in the beginning may be helpful, but over time, sometimes the person starts reacting to them. This could be due the fact that the body is actually getting better (they are doing their job), but then they are no longer needed in the high amounts, and begin to be a problem. .
