Guest guest
During the holiday season last year I gained an enormous amount of weight, probably 30-40 lbs added on to another 30-40 I had gained during the previous 9-10 months - a total of 75 lbs. I felt really miserable. There were problems with my family, etc. - but, I'll tell you this with absolute certainty - being lost in the food didn't help, it made things worse. On February 2nd I made a commitment to be healthy. I started on Simmon's Food Mover, then switched to Weight Watchers. I've lost 66 lbs. I exercise 5-7 times a week. I started with videos, now I do a variety of advanced video workouts which include step, other cardio, weight training, pilates and yoga. Almost every day. Last night, Christmas Eve, I returned home from the festivities, where I ate more than I usually do, but still light, went upstairs to my attic gym,a nd did some hi low aerobics and a combo yoga/pilates tape. I went to be feeling healthy with my stomach comfortably empty. I make healthy eating and exercise a priority. My family hasn't changed, but my attitutde toward them has. And while there's been some rocky moments during the current season, and I've had to deal with a very depressing situation surronding my uncle, I basically feel great! I've lost 12 lbs since early november - which is a big improvement over gaining 20! or 30. The holidays are for you to make. Love yourself, take care of yourself. Take baby steps toward self love and self care if you don't have the willingness to do it 100%. You do not have to keep gaining weight! take care, Jane __________________________________________________
