Guest guest
Good day all, I started my day with a visit from a dear sister of our Still’s group. Lady El has been with us for many years and is so very ill right now. She feels she has had to be out of touch for so long and too sick to stay in touch. I ask that we please support her with thoughts of love and healing comfort. She has many conditions along with Still’s at this time and some are as yet undiagnosed. However; we laugh at things we can, talk silly and remmaniss about years we spent at conferences together. I know it is so hard to find hope for better tomorrows when there are days that go on with such illness. That is when it is time to reach out to the friends we have that lift us up in spirit and share our heartbreak, sadness, fear and insecurities. I also spoke to Dad today. For the new members, Dad is Bob Himes, our secretary/treasurer along with Mom, his wife Carole. Their daughter passed with Still’s complications some years ago and they have since adopted every single person and made this foundation their life’s work. Anyway, while on a trip out of state, Dad became very ill and then when returning home needed emergency surgery. He is finally home and doing better, but we just cannot keep him down and he’s already back to catching up on all the many jobs he does for the foundation. I ask thoughts of love and wellness for him as always too. We are briskly moving towards the conference date and I encourage those that can or are attending to make their reservations and put your party dresses on ;0) As I’ve posted, our member Larry Brown is our guest speaker this year and the topic will be on physical/occupational therapy and staying in motion throughout the stages of this disease. We have waited a few years for Larry to be well enough to join us and are so excited that he is finally at a place in time that he will be able to. I’d like to tell everyone to remember you’re thought of. Open a window, smell the air, listen to the sounds, stretch and take comfort that others understand and are at your fingertips whether it be the computer or the phone. Smiles and love to all,
