Guest guest
Good day, For years I have had therapy appointments on and off. Even when in the hospital before diagnoses, a therapist came in daily to move my joints and range of motion and resistance so that my muscles stayed toned and my joints did not freeze in place. This is a very important topic and one that is dear to my heart you might say. I think doctors often forget this part of treatment. Even when bedfast and unable to move we should ask what we can do so that we don't lose what we have because there is always something that can be done and I was always told that once joint movement or muscles are lost they may not return? I was given hydro pool therapy many times before therapy and once when asked about temperature was told if water is too hot it will cause an inflamed joint to swell more. And that may be when ice is needed. The same goes for inflamed joints with exercise. I was told that is when to do only range of motion and nothing more until the inflammation was reduced. As our rules state. Ask your doctors and therapists. We can only share our experiences. Thank you and good day with smiles for your weekend, ..
