Guest guest
Even since I was a child, the sound of the letters P, C, K and G have driven me up a wall. It started with P. One day when I was 9 years old, whenever my teacher would lecture us in class, she'd sometimes say a P word (Pie, Park, Appropriate, Pine, Pile, Pint, Pioneer, Pain, Paint, Champagne, Apartment, Popular, People, Part, etc). It's not so much the letter itself, but the " wet " sound that escapes from the lips when people say it. If someone says it with totally dry lips, it does not bother me. Unfortunately 98% or 99% of the time, it comes out sounding wet. Also the hard sound of C and K, like: Car, Cat, Con, Carl, Cop, Card, Kind, it's the " cuh " sound that the mouth makes. Basically mouth sounds drive me crazy, to where I want to smack the person who is making them (but I never have). I also have pretty bad OCD. I can't stand to see it when someone rubs their face, licks their lips, sticks their tongue out (which my dad does all the time, every time I look at him his damn tongue is out of his mouth), bites their fingernails and spits them out (the sound is awful, my mom does that and I yell at her). I hate it when people run their fingertip around the edge of a wine glass. There are so many things that bother me, I cannot even begin to name them all. I also don't like repetitive sounds or tapping sounds.
