Re: Kirk Looking back through old posts

Thanks for the info ! I only have to hope that my PC holds up as it is

dying. The motherboard is bad and it tends to shut off every few minutes!

I'd buy a new one, but this has been a BRUTAL year for me, not being able

to do 1/4 of what I am used to doing.

At least I'm back into coaching football, but I know I'm going too far with

my " hands on " approach, but the only way to teach techniques ti the

offensive and defensive lines require demonstrations. I've been carted off

of the field more than once, but to me it is too important for me to do to

really care if I hurt myself.

PS...I'm down to under 270 now! C-dif may be dangerous but it sure is a

good way to lose a bunch of weight fast. They have me on Vancomycin and

although I've noted slight improvement, it is still with me. I am very

lethargic and have to really push myself just to get through the

day.......and as tired as I am I can NOT sleep very well, seeing the wee

hours of the morning most of the time!

Hi Kirk,

 

One test that is possible they took on you would be an ANA (anti-neuclear

antibodies) I think is how it is spelled. Something to check in to.

Yes it is one they use to rule out Lupus. I've heard though in Still's patients,

that the ANA will come back negative. Correct me if I am wrong or anyone

else if you have heard this.

 

Problems with diagnosing my daughter with Still's were mixed results, where at

certain times the ANA was positive and others negative leading them to believe

at first it was Lupus, but then other symptoms and patterns showed otherwise.

They were at one time considering that she had both Lupus and Still's however,

at this current day, she has Still's only.
