Tim; Thanks for the quick answer. You present the facts so easy to understand. My doctor had initially spoken to me about a roux-en-Y to correct a fistula that was in the Biliary System near the area of the Major duodenal papilla. After much discussion with other doctors, he decided to do a spincterotomy via ERCP in view of my diagnosis, which at that time I wasn't aware I had PSC. So far it worked, and I have most of my energy back. But I realize that this is only a band-aid and the worst is yet to come. I have not had a cholangitis attack in 24 days. I believe this is due to Actigall, Milk Thistle, and the removal of the fistula. Before the ERCP and spincterotomy, and the flushing out of the bile ducts, I was having attacks every 5 days with mini-attacks in between.

I go to see my GI tomorrow at 2 P.M. The first time since my diagnosis. At this point I do not know if he is also a Hepatologist as well. I hope he is because I really like, and trust him. He is the first doctor I have seen in 12 years, to really go the distance to find out what was causing all this pain. He knew it wasn't the flu. I have so many questions for him. Hope he has the time for me. The diagnosis was made at the time of the last ERCP, and we have only spoke once(on the phone) since that time(Oct13th). I hope to find out tomorrow just how much damage this disease has done, and where I am in the scheme of things.

Pat
