Guest guest
So not only can we not get on chat tonight, the website itself cannot be accessed. I am faithfully here each Thrusday and am ready to log in to chat. I set time aside for it and I get ready and change my schedule to be there. If we cannot get the website up and chat working, is there any way that we can at least please find a way to inform people ahead of time by performing a test? I would be glad to offer my services if I can be of help in any way as I am willing and here to try to chat any way. I am frustrated by this because it has taken so long and we have been very patient. Please let me know what I can do and I will do it. ~~~ ~~~ From: Stillsdisease Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 1:57 PM To: Stillsdisease Subject: Chat, 4/12/2012, 6:00 pm Reminder from: Stillsdisease Yahoo! Guest guest
I think tonight might have been different April because my browser would not even let me log on to the website itself. I tried firefox and then internet explorer both and it was not allowing me access to the site at all. I didn’t get as far as being able to even choose to log in or chat. but it was working this morning. I tried it. So that may account for people not being there tonight. They just could not get to the site. Maybe better luck next time I guess. Bob did all he could. There still continue to be problems for what ever reason. ~~~ ~~~ From: raincoin@... Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 8:18 PM To: Stillsdisease Subject: Re: Chat, 4/12/2012, 6:00 pm I tried, too. When I first got on I saw a bunch of test, test stuff, but there was no boxto sign in. I refreshed the page & the whole site was unavailable. I could not view anything. I have not been able to chat for weeks. Whenever I amable to chat, noone wants to bother with it. I was disappointed more that noone would chat rather than because the site was having troubles. It's like noone has the patience to sit and wait and/or refresh the page... April Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone Re: Chat, 4/12/2012, 6:00 pm As a matter of fact I just got out because no one showed up. My apology's if you couldn't get in but I was there and I spent the last three weeks working on the chat room. II don't know what the problem is but now I can't get back in to it for some reason? Don't blame it on us not working on it because we have been and it was working tonight from 7pm until 8pm when I got off of it Bob Panama City, FL 32404 Please visit the International Stills Disease Foundation Inc. Guest guest
Thank you for offering to go into the room early and post a reminder for the group. If you would like to do that it would be great. We have others that ask the group and can at any time if someone is up to a chat. As you all saw tonight, Bob was there and waiting but then the site went down. It is back up late although it is well past chat time but sites go down sometimes. It just happens to be our luck that we have been having lately that it happened during Chat hours I guess. Just my thoughts :0) To: Stillsdisease From: ginabomp@... It’s still ok to be frustrated though and share my feelings about it right? I was looking forward to it. Not that it’s anyone’s fault. But if there is anything I can do, I just want to be known to be available. ~~~ ~~~ From: Himes Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 6:17 PM To: Stills Group Subject: Re: Chat, 4/12/2012, 6:00 pm As a matter of fact I just got out because no one showed up. Guest guest
Yes, I guess I did not clarify what I meant too well. I wasn't talking about tonight. When Bob referred to how he's been working on the site for weeks, I was thinking about how everyone seems to have been frustrated to thepoint of not wanting to wait on it for several weeks. In the past weeks, it has worked, just not like it was suppose to. I could not log into chat...the page did come up, and isaw the chat window at first, but there was no box to log in. Then, after I refreshed, thinking maybe that would help, that's when the site was completely not working. I was meaning tosay I was not frustrated with Bob or anyone else who was trying to work it out. Lord knows I would not figure it out! I don't know the first thing about it. Computers are wonderful...when they do what they are suppose to. However, we have become so accustomed to having what we want when we want it that it's easy to get irritated when things don't work when we want them to.
