Hi ,

My daughter suffers from Still’s Disease. My heart goes out to you for all

that you are going through. Perhaps the Humaia will help along with your MTX.

Keep trying to get the doctor to write letters to the insurance company

explaining the need for you and your illness that requires these medications.

My daughter has fairly good luck with the insurance being over ridden by the

doctors recommendations.

My daughter has gastropresis too. She is the skinniest she has ever been. The

doctors are scared for her. She has been placed on a medication which increases

weight gain. Also, she uses some sort of medication which stimulates your

appetite, but if your stomach is paralyzed and you eat, then you end up throwing

it up right? My daughter throws up so much or she ends up with diarrhea. I

feel so bad for you girls. My daughter ends up not eating anything in the

morning, or even mid day and has her appetite by after 6 p.m. sometimes later

and it seems to work better and help her keep food down. She gets fevers at 5

o’clock each day also. Do you get fevers? Have you had fevers with your

Still’s Disease?

My Best,

Subject: Just need to vent a little

Hello group and welcome to the new members. I have been going through a lot of

crap.

I had to change medications again because my body began to reject the Orencia.

Now I am going to begin Humira and have to up my MTX. So God help me. On top of

that, I can't get my insurance to pay for my medication that will help with my

hormone replacement. I am going crazy with hot flashes and feel like I want to

just to punch a person in the face. I hate the fact that I am going through

this, and if there is any ladies that know what I am going through, any advice

would be wonderful.

As for my Stills and RA it is out of control. Since 2004 I have never been in

remission and the medications have to be changed every 6 months its horrible.

And of course I have a stomach issue called Gastroparesis (my stomach is

becoming paralyzed) food is hard to eat these days and I am going to have to go

to liquids pretty soon.

Well I am going to end my ranting and raving. I hope everyone is doing ok.

Hugs and blessings,

P

I’m so sorry things have just gotten worse for you . My experience with

hormones was that when I needed them it was at the highest dose but then I got a

clot and haven’t been able to take them since. I was an emotional mess for a

long time.

Is the Gastro paresis treatable? I mean does it progress until you can’t eat

any longer? I’m very sorry you are suffering this too. Please hang in there.

As others have said in the past, if your doctors will submit medications as if

your disease is RA, sometimes that will get approval.

Please stay in touch. Thinking of you for better days soon.
