Hi Ewelina,

We missed you at chat on Thursday, hope you are doing ok? I need a sleep aid

or I cannot sleep through the night, something I realize is necessary for health

and well being. So I do take Ambien, but currently my dose is 10mg. It works

for now, however I did have to take as much as 20mg at one point and backed down

to 15mg and now at the 10mg. I think 5 mg is an extremely small amount for

sleeping problems. It is the one safe and effective medication for sleep that I

have found that leaves me with the least amount of next day hangover. I tried

Lunesta also, but it was like water to me and did nothing.

I hope you can find what works for you. There is always Melatonin. I was very

sensitive to it and have to take only 1mg to sleep, but the hangover was too

much for me and headaches. You are supposed to take between 1-3 mg for sleep

according to the bottle of the brand I picked up, but I was extra sensitive to

it. Given that effectiveness though, perhaps you could give it a try if you

decide?

Good Luck in anything you end up finding to help you get better sleep.

Blessings,

It's probably been a couple of years since I've posted last but your comment

about the trazadone caught my eye. I also take trazadone and was commenting to

a co-worker about the wild, vivid dreams I have when I take it and she suggested

Tylenol pm. Although I don't think there are any Tylenol or Execdrin products

on the market.

Hi Ewelina,

I take 1mg of Klonopin and 10mg of flexeril at night and it is pretty much

lights out for me. Klonopin is like xanax, an anti-anxiety med and flexeril is

a muscle relaxant. I have been taking this for a couple of years and I have had

no problems. I do notice that if I have even the slightest bit of caffeine

after 5pm it will affect my sleep so I'm careful about that. I even drink

decaff iced tea.

Good luck!
