Guest guest
Does anyone have their children/child on SuperNuThera? If so, please write me offlist or onlist and tell me what your experience has been with it. Thanks so much in advance for any information you can give me! Take care, Sue.. Guest guest
We gave SNT Hypoallergenic in liquid form and TMG as well. We introduced them very slowly 1 ml at a time over a period of weeks (first SNT and then eventually TMG). coped with them without a problem and his speech etc improved greatly. Guest guest
Dana's comments on the phenol issue and her documentation caused us to take a hard look at this issue with the regular liquid SNT. She is right that phenols are a problem with some children and should be avoided. Many children do not seem to have a problem with small amounts of phenol. The problem is that ALL fruit flavors (and many other flavors) whether they are natural or artificial have some phenols. It is very hard to get flavor manufacturers to supply highly specilized products (such as phenol free) for children with autism. It is a very small market for them. I think we now have samples of a phenol free all natural flavor and will be working with the product to test stability and taste over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime the NuThera hypoallergic is a good subsititute for those with a phenol problem. A comment about the term " natural flavors " ... There really isn't any standard in the food industry on what " natural means " . It is very difficult to get honest breakdowns of ingrediants in natural flavors. In some cases it requires expensive lab work to guarentee content. Discussions on this chat group help a great deal in focusing on issues that improve products.
