Guest guest
I so agree with on this, all kids with Arthritis should be allowed to go to camp. My son was 29 years old before he ever sat in a room with anyone that had stills. He talked and shared stories with others. He finally had " common ground " . We both knew after the first night we would be coming back year after year. I just help keep the kids entertained while their parents are learning about arthritis and how to help their kids.JAM=Juvenile arthritis matters. I will be there this year and hope to spend some time with you . Sally >This will be our fourth year of Camp JAM. It is sponsored by the >Arthritis Foundation of Oregon. Camp JAM is a three day, weekend >camp for the families and children with juvenile rheumatoid >arthritis. The entire family is invited, each family gets their own >cabin, all food is provided, and the event is free of charge. During >the days of Saturday and Sunday from 9-12, the parents learn from >educational speakers, while their children are chaperoned in >different age groups and participating in fun activities such >as: swimming, inner tubing down a river, a petting zoo, a magician, >crafts, an obstacle course, etc.
