Guest guest
Hello All, I'm excited about the Still's Disease Convention this year. I got my room reservations at Orleans in Las Vegas! I will be driving over on Saturday September 1st and spending the first day and night resting and recovering form the drive. Sunday, I look forward to registering for the convention and seeing some of you. I will stay a total of 5 nights and plan on departing on Thursday September 6th. This should give me chance to rest up for the drive back home. Each way is only about 4 1/2 hours each way, however this will be the first time I've done anything like this in so long. The hotel has the best spa. I'm going to be putting money in a cookie jar and saving up for a massage and facial. They have many other amenities at the Orleans and it has all needed to suffice for the entire stay if that's what ends up happening. I would like to try to go downtown if possible to visit maybe one day or night. Probably at night to see the light show at the Freemont area where they have covered the streets and have bands and such. It is a great way to enjoy a vacation, by going to Vegas this time of year on a holiday weekend. The Saturday night room rate was the highest of course at $99. The Sunday was only $49, and each week night I'm spending there is only $29. These are with the Still's convention discount. You just go to the Still's Disease Org website and it directs you to the link to make the reservations at the discounted rate. If I can't afford it, I may eliminate the Saturday luxury of catching up on sleep and just drive over on Sunday, register for the convention and just sleep Sunday night. Then the extra $99 can go toward a nice treat at the spa. They had such great service last convention that I'm so looking forward to going again. I hope to see many of you there if you get to fit it into your schedule and are well enough to attend. I'm not sure my daughter will make it or not, however it will be fine if I go alone too. I missed chat last week, and hope all went well. I'll be there next Thursday. Take care of yourselves and enjoy any feel good time you get. Stay pain free and have peace.
