Guest guest
my husband has been in the hospital since Sunday hovering between here and above. so many triggers went unnoticed as I dealt with the potential loss of my greatest guy. living with his triggers is better than without him at all, after 32 years as of today. at first I realized I was edgy hearing all those beeps, alarms, etc.hospital sounds create many challenges with this disorder. then he started going down hill fast and all of the sudden the triggers didn't impact me. now it is late at night after my 5th day at the hospital with him. my ears hurt so much, the ringing is at its highest cricket pitch but that's o.k. it bothers me in the silence of the night right now. the bubbling of the fish tank, the noise of being in suburbia vs the forest where we live. All of my sound machines are at home as I left in such a rush as he traveled by helicopter. So I put on my big girl panties and dealt with it to the best of my ability and pushed the noises away. temporaryh fix but I'll take almost any reprieve.
