Guest guest
My Dr. also told me that it would not return. It is very scary to think you would go through all of the transplant stuff and then have it reoccur(sp?). About the prednisone, I have a friend that had a kidney transplant as a child, and she is still on prednisone. She's now in her late 30s or early 40s. Guest guest
Like Roy, I have heard of isolated cases of PSC recurring after transplant, but also comments that its " lucky " to have liver failure caused by PSC because it has a very low recurrance rate compared to other liver diseases. (We'd be luckier not to need a transplant at all!) Guest guest
Wouldn't it be logical that when auto nuclear antibodies are present and attacking the immune system that those ana's would still be there hard at work after a transplant?
