Guest guest
Dear Kirk, I know you feel it’s wonderful to be losing the weight but please be careful. I just read an article, I believe in the Mayo Newsletter? and it highlighted the C- dif as being a much more serious problem than even the staff infections and grossly under-reported in the US. It stated many patients can die from this and is to be taken very seriously. I am not typing this to scare anyone, just to pass along the information and ask you to please make sure your doctors stay on top of it and you continue treatment, especially if you’re feeling worse at any point. Take care buddy, From: Kirk Bonanny 2) C-Dif (an intestinal disorder caused by strong antibiotics that has dropped me 34lbs in a shade over 20 days! If I can lose another 40 I'll actually be where I was prior to getting whacked! I must add it has been a long time since than, and I would kill to have a normal appearing body again, even if I can't work out and run. Kirk. Guest guest
They're on top of it and it seems to be slowing. My PCP told me they are having a hell of a time with this as it is becoming resistant to all available drugs. They have me on high doses of Vancomycin for the next 10 days. I've read about it, but I must admit what a way to jump start major weight loss! I am aware that if it gets bad enough they have to remove part of your intestine, which is scary as hell as I am not a fan of going under the knife as something always seems to go wrong with this beat up body! Thanks for your concern though,Kirk. > ** > > > Dear Kirk, > > I know you feel it’s wonderful to be losing the weight but please be > careful. Guest guest
Yes please take care of yourself with this! My best friend's father just died of C Dif infection. The funeral was today. He caught it from either a trip to the ER with hospital stay or the rehab nursing home he was recovering from. My friend researched that it's starting to break out in nursing homes. Now, he was old, in his 80's. But it's major. Please take care of yourself.
