Guest guest
That is TERRIFIC news! I managed the same thing more than a year ago. I'm on no meds now. It is very liberating to know you can control things like that. Congratulations on the cholesterol reduction. Guest guest
Andy, Bruce, Heidi, & all, That is great news, Heidi. I think, across the board, if polled, you would find a remarkable decrease in the bad cholesterol levels and an increase in good cholesterol levels. ...Plus, to say nothing of the overall feelings of well being that are to be found. If not in the first 12 weeks, certainly over extended periods of time. So, good nutrition and proper exercise could well be the key to good health and long term happiness. No cholesterol lowering or anti-depressant drugs would be really needed. But the " makers " of Body-for-LIFE can't provide the free pens, sample drugs, clip boards, stationary, golf outings, seminars and continuing education requirements to fulfill the other " needs " of the physician group practices. So why would / should Doctor's refer the program? ...For the patient's health and well being??? If people were actually healthier, there would be less demand for the doctors! ...And that is NOT exactly a self fulfilling effort for the physicians! In the mean time, here I sit, with the continued head throb, waiting patiently to see my " new " doctor (at the same clinical practice) on May 9th! ...While overdosing on ibuprofen (?sp?). So yeah! I'm jousting a little bias with this smart alec response! BTW, I did see the chiro yesterday, and have a second visit for later today. He did sense a problem up around my first couple of vertebrae (?sp?) and tremendous tension in the ???something??? cover, but will review x-rays and plan a treatment for today's visit. We'll see. Guest guest
Wonderful Heidi!! Congrats on the clean bill of health! That's almost as good (or better) than looking like a hottie on your trip. Ok, healthwise it's better, but somehow wearing a sign that says " healthy cholesterol level " in a bikini with squishy parts doesn't equate. LOL Cheers, Jen B. > > So, one reason for me to do this challenge besides the whole going > to Mexico and wanting to be hot thing was some health issues I've > got - one of which was high cholesterol. Guest guest
Just be careful ...don't make it worse. You have the rest of your life to work out so if you take it easy for a few days it wouldn't hurt you. Overdoing could. Just concerned, Doug > > > > > > > > > So, one reason for me to do this challenge besides the whole going > > > to Mexico and wanting to be hot thing was some health issues I've > > > got - one of which was high cholesterol. Guest guest
I received this e-mail today and wanted to pass it on to the community. If there is anyone who lives in the San Diego area who has not come forward please e-mail and volunteer. Date: 6 February, 2012 9:55:41 AM PST Hi Lynda, Thank you for helping to coordinate all of this. We have met with a few individuals and have a third meeting planned this week. So far we've found the condition fascinating and understand why you and others have wanted to bring it to the attention of researchers with the hope of treatments. After a few more interviews we'll likely begin testing a few hypotheses we're developing for the cause of misophonia, but for the time being though no need to have anyone fly out to see us as there seem to be quite a few individuals in Southern California. Thanks again
