Guest guest
Kirk! So much great news with your family!!! I can only imagine how I would handle that as a mom when my kids were those ages. But you should be SO proud! And both you and your wife have to be proud of the parents that you are that allowed the boys to become the young men that they are! So great! LOL on the broke comment! I often crab that we aren't " broke " enough here! My husband being a vet and all, we are better off than many, but that puts the kids in a different financial category. They are greatful to receive a monthly amount as his step-children, and my son will be finishing his Associates degree in May with not one dollar of student loan debt! Between the VA $ and he works. So that is very cool. But once he transfers to a 4 year program, they are more costly and he will need to start applying for scholarships now rather than later.... or it will be student loan debt for him too! My older one, , she is now an LPN but she took out a lot of loans in addition to the VA $. So she did things differently than I would have wanted. But she's living with a roommate now and making a go of things for herself. I worry because she is so sick. I have been here, there, everywhere with her looking for answers and so far we are empty handed (although she was treated for Lymes Disease bt without improvement and there is disagreement between doctors on how to read her test results so some say she never had it and others say yes....) Well, hang in there! Post when you have the time and energy! -Jo In a message dated 3/8/2012 12:14:31 A.M.
