Even a signature such as Denver's with an address doesn't help

because egroup.com truncates his to display " OrdSmed@p... " .

BUT ... double clicking on the truncated address will open a

message window which Egroup.com will send to the proper person

without fully disclosing their email address. For example double

clicking on OrdSmed@p... creates a Send Message window with the

header:

To: OrdSmed@p...

From: tromlein@...

Date: Sat Nov 18 15:21:08 2000

So you can send direct to someone who has posted a message, even

if the whole address isn't displayed.

I didn't know that..

I guess they do that to make sure I don't get on someone's SPAM list..

well, it didn't work..

after having this address for about five years finally it is flooded with

spam--all since I

started using it here..

I'll change my signature:

DenverD: husband of Mette (44), UC '73, dx PSC 6/2000

alive in Denmark <www.Texan.dk>
