Haley,

Daughter is on Kineret and although it is helping her symptoms, with or without

it she gets this awful break out on her face of a type of acne, but it's related

to Still's.

Some of the break out is like ulcers and little craters and it is definatly

brought on by the sun shine. She must wear a strong sun screen and keep her fact

from being near even windows in the house.

Since she gets it with or without being on the Kineret, and we've not heard of

it being a symptom, it is probably not the cause of your acne. I do hope that

you can go to a dermatologist to have it evaluated. That could be a rash and

still's does cause rashes on the face too. It may have become infected etc.

Please have it checked out and keep us posted ok?

My best,

gina

Hailey,

Please don’t be sorry. We’ve lived most of it and understand. I had terrible

break outs on my face, arms and chest while on Prednisone. My doctor told me it

was NOT acne although it looked the same and to not pick at it because it would

scar. I felt like such a freak. It did go away and didn’t scar. I was just 20

and so sensitive to my looks of course and the weight gain, acne looking, moon

face, all of it was terrible but I was so sick it barely made a difference

because I couldn’t even walk to the bathroom or lift a cup without help so

when that sick the looks of me were sad, but not as bad as how sick I was and

the fear of the unknown. I want to say that time was on my side and it did get

better. Not fast but it did. Don’t ever give up the hope or the support of

others please.

Lots of love,

For those of you taking or have taken Kineret, does it cause really bad acne?

Because in my whole life I have never had a break out this bad and I'm like

freaking out..

Any tips on how to make it go away if it does cause it?

Hi Hailey,

I'm a little late to this party but I completely empathize with you and skin

issues. I want to suggest that you go to Bodyecology.com.

How long have you had Still's? I'm 35 and have had it for 22 years. I attached a

photo of myself so you could see my skin, not to be vain. I'm the one holding

the cake:)

So, I used to get break outs and contact dermatitis (all of this is inflammation

related). I definitely believe we can take a natural and medical approach to

Still's. A suggestion for skin:

As a toner and make up remover water down organic, unfiltered apple cider

vinegar(it had to be organic and contain the Mother's milk. It will be marked on

the label. Unpasterized!) This will balance your skins ph and make it more

alkaline. You can also mix lemon juice, as much of the apple cider vinegar as

you can handle (probably a tablespoon to start) a glass of water, and stevia and

drink it before bed. This will help return your body to a more alkaline state,

healing your skin from the inside out.

Now, most people freak out with this next part. Organic virgin coconut oil is

anti microbial and anti parasidic. If you have oily skin, use it around your

eyes to start and work your way up. Just be sure you aren't allergic to

coconuts:)

Also, fermented/cultured vegatables are excellent for gut health and skin. You

eat them and use the juice as a toner. Nothing would get rid of my rash and then

I used the culture juice as a mask and my skin was glowing. The lactic acid

worked wonders.

The Bodyecology website has a lot of information. You deserve great, glowing

skin and you can have it too!

Obviously, if none of this feels right toss it right out the window! We have to

trust our guts and do what feels right. If you use antibiotic don't be surprised

if you get a rebound effect after you stop. It's normal.

In health,
