Guest guest
Sorry I didn't introduce myself on the first post. I'm 23 year old female. Ive been married for about 2 years. I live in Detroit area, Michigan. I was diagnosed in January of this year. I usually get 2 fevers a day, rashes all over my body. My joints are swollen. My right knee was swollen since December of last year. Ive had cortisone shots, took prednisone, started at 40mg and decreased it for few weeks. That didn't help. Now my left knee started swelling up whenever it feels like it, just like other joints. Fevers are driving me crazy, there was a point where they were 103/104. Luckily last few days they were 99 deg. Night sweats and nightmares are terrible. I'm currently taking diflunisal and sulfazine en tab 500, so far none of the anti inflammatory meds worked. On Monday I'm suppose to have my first kineret injection, it was a blessing that I was able to scramble up the copay amount in past few days, thanks to my lovely sister. will see how thats going to go.I'm very glad I found you guys, and i appreciate every post and every email I've received. I still have unanswered questions, one of them is what do we all have in common that we ended up with the same disease? Did you ever ask the big guy in heaven why you why not someone else ? I know stills is not the worst disease out there and not that common, but what Ive been experiencing is not easy either. Does anyone know the exact number of people with stills? or how many are actually diagnosed each year?
