Guest guest
Hi everyone, Let me say thank you for the wishes for a good camping trip. It was a good week for me and for the first time in years I was able to help unload, set up, and contribute the whole time. It felt good and was also appreciated for the progress from just four years ago by all. One group thing is that the chat room being talked about while I was gone was a new one we were trying and it didn’t seem to fly very well so our team is trying another ;0) Thank you everyone for your input, patience and understanding. I have to say I missed chat tonight because it’s been a hard day for me. Many of my long family here know that I’m recently separated in the last year and a half and that he is a good man. Our relationship lasted 18 years and we are civil. He was diagnosed with a tumor on the side of his face a couple of weeks ago and goes for his biopsy the 18th. Whether it’s benign or malignant it has to be removed as it has grown on the gland with the nerves running through it that control the face, mouth, saliva, etc. Can be up to a 7 hr. surgery and very technical. Today my daughter called from Texas and my youngest granddaughter is almost 11. She was born with the genetic disorder called DE syndrome. Now just in the last week her doctors sent her to children’s hospital in Houston and her increasing symptoms turn out to be a SEVERE case of Graves disease. The doctors say it is not a result of her DE but I read tonight it is an auto immune disorder affecting the thyroid gland. My daughter says her new endocrinologist there is one of the best but they will have to try and reverse the thyroid function with the radioactive iodine treatment. My other granddaughter that is 17 also had a medical situation a couple weeks ago as well. So it was quite a call from my daughter on the way to her work this morning. I am just so very sad right now for those I love. The girls I miss dearly and I cannot go see them. My pain management doctor recently gave me flexural for sleep because I most often wake every hour during the night to shift and have not gotten a good nights rest much for years at a time without some medication help. The muscle relaxer is working without giving me any morning side affects or just the artificial sleep for a while. So... long enough. If I’m a little absent for a day in between here and there, any of this is most likely the cause. In between I try to walk by the creek, listen to wonderful music I’ve never heard with a friend and just trying to appreciate anything good and wonderful that I am fortunate enough to have in my life. Thinking of you all with love and smiles,
