Guest guest
Byron are you in the United States? Because no one has given me Ritalin. Provigil raised my blood pressure, way high (so I took a half pill only) which Ritaln might too. But the worst is, Provigil isabout $700. And isnt covered by Medicare. I wind up being glad I have allergies because the oldfashioned Sudafed(not the new stuff) keeps me somewhat awake and alert. Not the greatest solution though. A. Re: I miss reading books. Some of the drugs I've been given are Provigil, Nuvigil, Adderall, Ritalin. So far, if I have an event I want to be active for, I've found the Ritalin to work the best. Guest guest
I tried provigil. It was covered under medicare's rx drug program. It helped me some, but then I had a severe crash. I found the older sudafed (not the new stuff) to help, and I still use it periodically. Seems to lossen up the back of my neck muscles. And it gave me a bit of energy. I've never tried ritalin. Might be worth a try. > >I know I'm not alone.. my brainfog makes it extremely difficult to > >read a book like in my pre-CFS & pre-FM days. Guest guest
Yes, I live in South Carolina. My Neurologist offered me Adderall or Ritalin to help combat chronic Fatigue. I told him I had moral issues with Ritalin because of the way it's doled out to children like candy so I tried the Adderal. I worked, but tended to make me feel 'jangled' and dropped me pretty hard when it ran out. I would only take on a day I had to be up in the morning for a trip or doctor's appt. I finally decided to try the Ritalin and found it perked me up nicely and just fades away when the dose runs out. Soooo.......... I'm fortunate to have double insurance coverage also, my wife's and Medicare. BJK At 11:21 PM 2/7/2012 -0600, you wrote: >Byron are you in the United States? Because no one has given me >Ritalin.
