Guest guest
As I watch the snow fly and the winds blow (- 40 below at the moment,lol- comparing weather), I had to play some wonderful christmas music. Denver...did you enjoy the Manheim Steamroller music the other night? Anyway.....have to babbel on for a moment:) I listened to Elvis christmas, Manheim, and Glen (one of my favorites) and I am an old rock n roller! It was nice making cookies, thinking of old and new friends and reflecting on this past year. What a year it has been. I thank you one and all for being in my life and being a BIG support ! I have alot to be thankful for. I have suffered alot of loses in the last 6 months, the death of my uncle, cousin, great aunt, family friend and my child. One thing that has helped me is knowing that they are all with god now. On a lighter note...my mother and I take an anual drive through Neb. during the holidays and shop the old dime stores in the small towns. My mom brought along a wonderful cassette tape of our cousin Jerrine Racek singing xmas songs dedicated to the family. She is a wonderful jazz singer (sang with Mel Torme and opened for the Colorado rockies opener this past season).....it was happy and uplifting!!! OK....I feel better now:) Had to talk:) Enjoy the spirit of the season everyone:) Sincerely wife of dx
Guest guest
Ok, you definitely got me beat on weather and on losses this year, although I have lost a few very dear people this year. I hope this year is special for you. We are trying to make a few changes this year to make it extra special. My dad loved toys (having grown up during the depression probably made him feel that way). anyway, every year we would buy him toys for Christmas. He just loved it. Now we were at a loss, because that was a very special highlight. But then my daughter said, gee, let's still buy the toys, show them to everyone, and then give them to Toys For Tots. So, that is what we are going to do. May God's love cloak you in warmth and sunshine....you will need it for the 40 below....brrrrrrrr! from Michigan (we are expecting a blizzard today and tomorrow, yippie!)
