,

I was told at transplant that after three years post transplant, the

survival rate for liver transplant recipients is the same as for the

general population. I've certainly met people who have had transplants

for more than seven years, and they're doing fine. They keep improving

the immunosuppressive drugs, etc. and as a result, transplantation

statistics change. Also, liver transplants should not be compared to

other organs. Each one has its own unique characteristics.

Yep, , I have heard of the Mercedes scar...I still prefer the peace

symbol...just a rebel at heart.

Yesterday H. and Gail (from Maine, soon to be Ohio) and I finally

met in person in Exeter, NH...talked for over four hours. It was just

great....so nice to meet face to face. If any of you live close, get

together. What a fantastic experience.

(off to work--WOW!--nice to say that again)
