Guest guest
Regarding using Zen to calm yourself, I agree. I am not a Buddhist and I don't meditate. However, I have learned that the messages we send ourselves greatly influence how we feel physically. For example, if I'm out in the cold (I live in Chicago!), and I find myself saying to myself, "Oh god, I'm cold, I'm cold," it makes things worse. If I "quiet" my mind and refuse to "say" these things, it really helps. Most of the time we don't even realize we are saying these things to ourselves. The next time you hear a trigger, be aware of what is going on in your mind. You are probably saying, "I hate this! I can't stand this! Stop!" If so, make your mind quiet. You can do it. Breathe deeply (yes, I know, you always hear that, but it works!). Make your mind quiet.I think my 4S is mild compared to some people who post here, and I know it won't work as well for everyone. Also, it depends how tired your are, how stressed you are, etc. But it's worth a try.
