Guest guest Posted December 29, 1999 Report Share Posted December 29, 1999 PBS is the Public Broadcasting System. I think you mean PBC, which is Primary Biliary Chirrosis. I mix up acronyms all the time, and it makes me laugh. I think PSC is scarring of the biliary ducts while PBC is scarring of the liver tissue itself. Both impede bile flow. PBC is primarily a female disease, PSC is slightly more prevalent in males. Both have similar treatment. Perhaps Aubrey can fill you in on the details where I have erred.
