Guest guest
This is a crazy thing too... I have the same problem. I feel like I should be attached to a timer, to much sleep and I feel horrid , mama bear, to little and I feel horrid , the perfect sleep time, whatever that is, not so horrid. Also, if I were to take a nap I could wake up feeling much, much, much worse and other time I'll sleep for days and then balance my check book...check book sounds familiar What a day! I read this a study quite a while ago where they used volunteers and deprived them of sleep, they went on and developed signs of Fibromyalgia. If I'm able to get up after 6 or7 hours I feel better too. But unfortunately, I usually dont fall asleep quickly nor do I stay asleep, plus muscle relaxers and opiates keep me sluggish too, and influence my sleep patterns. I wondered about the fewer hours thing too! :-)

Guest guest
I know about that study. When I was first diagnosed, my rheumatologist treated me with low-dose Elavil(for pain) and some kind of sleeping pill, Ambien I think, for the sleeping problem. I later wondered if I'd started that regiment much earlier, maybe it could've worked. But at any rate it didn't. There's so many reasons and possibilities given for what causes Fibromyalgia, and maybe most of them are correct, or at least somewhat so. But it's my understanding as told to me by one of the top specialists in the field, that once we have it, especially if it's been a while, we're not going to get rid of it. For instance by the time I was diagnosed, I'd had it a few years, and it just got worse. I know some people recover, (so I've heard) and some get a little better, & some never do. I believe I'm a little better now than I was several years ago-I stopped working, lost many extra pounds and don't have all the stress I once had. So I'm somewhat better, but it's still here, I still have it enough that I can't count on feeling good for long--ever. Re: (sleep )How does everyone feel in the morning This is a crazy thing too...
